BERLIN (Reuters) - EU president Germany said on Friday the U.S. had tightened security in Germany because of signs its facilities were at higher risk, adding that it shared the U.S. concerns.

"Understandably, no further information can be given about these signs (of higher risk)," the German government said in a statement. "German security officials share these concerns and have been working closely with the U.S. side to ensure appropriate measures are taken."
