TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran expects a positive report on Friday from the U.N. nuclear watchdog showing its peaceful aims because of Tehran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, a senior Iranian official said.

"We have cooperated with the agency. Definitely we are expecting a positive report. It will prove to the world that we were right (about Iran's peaceful activities)," the senior official, who asked not to be identified, told Reuters shortly before the IAEA was to issue a report on Iran's nuclear work.

Western nations accuse Iran of seeking to master technology so it can build nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran denies.
