TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran said on Monday there had been no progress in an inquiry by the U.N. nuclear watchdog into Tehran's disputed nuclear program because it had not adopted an appropriate approach.

"There has been no progress because the IAEA was not able to adopt an approach to resolve the issue," a senior Iranian official, who asked not to be named, told Reuters in response to an International Atomic Energy Agency report.

The official said the IAEA should change its approach and work in a "legal and logical" manner.
