NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Dalai Lama accused China's media on Friday of using deceit and distortion in coverage of protests in Tibet, saying that could fan racial tension between Tibetans and Han Chinese.

"This is of grave concern to me," the Dalai Lama said in a statement.

"The state media's portrayal of the recent events in Tibet, using deceit and distorted images, could sow the seeds of racial tension with unpredictable long-term consequences."
