JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The Israeli army said it had identified bodies handed over by Hezbollah on Wednesday as those of the two soldiers captured by the Lebanese group two years ago.

Israeli generals visited the families of Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev to notify them of the positive identification, a military spokesman said.

The statement confirmed an earlier Israel Radio report that Israeli military forensic teams had identified the remains as those of the two reservists, who were captured in a Hezbollah raid along the Israel-Lebanon border in 2006.
