FALLUJA, Iraq (Reuters) - A suicide bomber killed six policemen and wounded nine on Friday when he detonated a vest packed with explosives outside a mosque in Falluja, a mainly Sunni Arab city west of Baghdad, police said.

The man approached a police checkpoint near the mosque on the outskirts of the city, 50 km (30 miles) west of the capital, and blew up, police said.

Earlier on Friday, a suicide bomber on foot attacked a checkpoint manned by police and a neighborhood security unit near Garma, 20 km (12 miles) northeast of Falluja, killing two and wounding three, police said.
