DUBAI (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden called for a holy war against foreign forces in Sudan and the Arabian Peninsula, in an audio recording posted on the Internet on Tuesday.

"It is the duty of Muslims in Sudan and ... the Arabian Peninsula to wage jihad (holy war) against the crusader invaders," said the speaker, who sounded like the al Qaeda leader.

Portions of the audio recording, issued as a video carrying a still photograph of bin Laden, were aired by Al Jazeera television on Monday. The tape was produced by As-Sahab, al Qaeda's media arm, and posted on Islamist Web sites.

Bin Laden also called for rebellion against rulers allowing foreign forces into Muslim countries.
