BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A suicide bomber on a motorcycle killed at least six members of a U.S.-backed neighborhood patrol and wounded 18 others on Monday, police said.

The attack took place at a checkpoint in Tarmiya, a town just north of Baghdad.

The mostly Sunni patrols have been credited with helping reduce violence in Iraq but have come under increasing attack.
