LONDON (Reuters) - British Foreign Secretary David Miliband told Sudan's ambassador on Thursday he was concerned about a British teacher accused by Sudanese authorities of insulting Muslims after her class called a teddy bear Mohammad.

"I explained to him that we were very concerned by the case," Miliband said in a statement after he met Sudanese Ambassador Omer Siddig to discuss teacher Gillian Gibbons. "We believe that this was an innocent misunderstanding."
