HARARE (Reuters) - Zimbabwean police are eager to question opposition MDC Secretary-General Tendai Biti for illegally declaring results of the election, the state-run Herald newspaper reported.

Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri had written Biti a letter expressing concern that he was "urging and abetting political violence" through political rhetoric, it said in its Thursday online version, posted late on Wednesday. Biti is believed to be outside Zimbabwe.
