WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney expressed deep disappointment over the conviction on Tuesday of his former aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby for lying and obstructing the investigation into a CIA leak investigation.

Libby, Cheney's former chief of staff, faces a maximum of 25 years in prison. "I am very disappointed with the verdict," Cheney said in a statement. "Scooter served our nation tirelessly and with great distinction through many years of public service."
