Barnes & Noble shares jump 27 percent on sales talks

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Shares of bookseller Barnes & Noble (BKS.N) jumped 28.3 percent to $16.48 in pre-market trading on Wednesday after the company said it was putting itself up for sale.

Goldman Sachs also raised Barnes & Noble to “neutral” following the book store chain’s decision to put itself up for sale.
