Golden State Warriors clinch playoff berth

(Reuters) - The Golden State Warriors have clinched a spot in the National Basketball Association playoffs.

The Warriors advanced to the postseason with a 112-95 road win over the lowly Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

It is the first time Golden State has made the playoffs in two consecutive seasons since 1992.

The Warriors (49-30) are sixth in the strong Western Conference.
