HOUSTON (Reuters) - Hurricane Ike did not appear to inflict heavy damage on oil refineries, the head of the U.S. emergency management agency said on Tuesday.

"There's plenty of crude, it's the idea of getting the refineries back up and running again," David Paulison, head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, told reporters traveling with President George W. Bush to survey storm damage. "It doesn't appear they were destroyed or heavily damaged."
