PARIS (Reuters) - American Andy Roddick has pulled out of the French Open because of a shoulder injury, organizers said on Thursday.

World number 11 Roddick, who has never got past the fourth round at Roland Garros, had pulled out of this week’s Nice Open.

Former Roland Garros champion Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain has also withdrawn from the grand slam event which starts next week, organizers said.
