Bernanke says impact of reserve rate cut would be very small

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said on Tuesday he does not believe the possible benefits of cutting the interest it pays on bank reserves are sufficient to outweigh the risk of trouble in money markets.

“The stimulative effect of that action, while going in the right direction, we assess would be very very small,” Bernanke said.
