NEW YORK The driver of a bus that crashed in Virginia's Caroline County killing four people has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, authorities said on Friday.
Kin Yiu Cheung, 37, was driving a passenger bus on 1-95 between Greensboro, North Carolina and New York City with 58 passengers aboard when police say the bus swerved and flipped over near Richmond, Virginia.
The bus company, Sky Express, was in the process of being shut down at the time of the crash for violating multiple federal safety regulations, according to a statement released by the Federal Department of Transportation.
Kin Yiu Cheung is being held without bond at the Pamunkey Regional Jail in Virginia's Hanover County and will be arraigned on four felony involuntary manslaughter charges on June 8, a statement from the Virginia State Police said.
A grand jury is scheduled to review the charges on July 6.
