FOREX-Euro recovers as ECB's Trichet seen not so dovish

NEW YORK, May 8 (Reuters) - The euro recovered and last traded higher against the dollar on Thursday as investors said European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet was not as dovish on interest rates as some expected. [For more details ID:nFAT004155].

The euro EUR= last changed hands at $1.5399, up 0.1 percent, from about $1.5340 shortly prior to Trichet speaking. (Reporting by Nick Olivari; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
