NEW YORK, Oct 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar extended gains against the yen in late New York trade on Friday as investors increased positions in the U.S. currency across the board ahead of the weekend.
The dollar was last up 1 percent against the yen at 100.28 yen JPY= after climbing as high as 100.56 yen. (Reporting by Nick Olivari; Editing by Leslie Adler)
