FOREX-Dollar extends gains as jobless claims fall
NEW YORK, May 22 (Reuters) - The dollar extended gains against the yen and euro on Thursday after data showed fewer-than-expected applications for first-time jobless benefits in the latest week.
The euro fell to a session low of $1.5733 <EUR=> after the report from around $1.5760 earlier. The dollar rose to 103.48 <JPY=>, a session peak, from about 103.15 yen. (Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
