FOREX-Dollar briefly pares gains on Fed's Beige Book

NEW YORK, July 23 (Reuters) - The dollar pared some gains versus the yen on Wednesday after a Federal Reserve survey of regional economic conditions showed activity slowed somewhat since the last report. For details, see [ID:nWEQ000057]

The dollar was last up 0.4 percent against the yen at 107.81 <JPY=>, from 107.86 before the release. The euro was little changed at $1.5696 <EUR=>, roughly where it was before the report was released.

The report "came out a little early but no surprises in the headlines that are coming out," said David Watt, senior currency strategist at RBC Capital Markets in Toronto.
