FOREX-Dollar extends losses vs yen after Phila Fed report

NEW YORK, Dec 20 (Reuters) - The dollar extended losses against the yen on Thursday after a survey of U.S. Mid-Atlantic manufacturing activity fell unexpectedly.

The dollar fell to 112.81 yen JPY= from 112.95.

The Philadelphia Federal Reserve's index of regional manufacturing was -5.7 in December, sharply down from 8.2 the previous month. Analysts had expected a reading of 6.0. (Reporting by Gertrude Chavez-Dreyfuss; Editing by James Dalgleish; )
