Share trade in Iceland financial firms suspended
STOCKHOLM, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Share trading in Icelandic financial firms was suspended on Monday at the request of the country's Financial Services Authority, the stock exchange said.
The stock exchange said in a statement the halt covered trading in all financial instruments issued by Exista EXISTA.IC, Glitnir GLB.IC, Kaupthing KAUP.IC, Landsbanki LAIS.IC, Straumur-Burdaras STRB.IC and SPRON SPRON.IC.
"This decision is made in order to safeguard the equality of investors while awaiting an announcement," the statement said.
