US STOCKS-Futures fall as recession fears weigh

NEW YORK, Oct 23 (Reuters) - U.S. stock futures indexes retreated on Thursday on concerns of a longer and deeper global recession and on weak quarterly results and outlooks from companies.

S&P 500 futures SPc1 fell 7.70 points. Dow Jones industrial average futures DJc1 slipped 35 points, and Nasdaq 100 NDc1 futures were down 12.25 points. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Kenneth Barry)
