Czech envoy killed in Pakistani hotel attack

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - The Czech ambassador to Pakistan, Ivo Zdarek, was killed in a suicide truck bombing on the Marriott Hotel in the Pakistani capital, Pakistan's prime minister said on Sunday.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani told reporters 53 people had been killed in the Saturday evening bombing.

"The Czech ambassador is among them. He has been identified," Gilani said.
