FACTBOX: Security developments in Afghanistan
(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 10:30 a.m. EDT on Thursday:
SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN - One soldier from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed in an explosion in southern Afghanistan, the ISAF said in a statement. It did not release the nationality of the soldier or any other details.
HELMAND - ISAF soldiers shot and wounded an Afghan civilian after he ran towards a ground patrol in the Sangin district of southern Helmand province, the ISAF said in another statement. The soldiers thought he was a suicide bomber and the incident is under investigation, it said.
