ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani will attend opening ceremonies for the Beijing Olympics instead of President Pervez Musharraf, the foreign ministry said on Thursday.

"It has been decided that the prime minister will now go to China," foreign ministry spokesman Mohammad Sadiq said after the ruling coalition agreed to launch impeachment proceedings against Musharraf.
