Malaysia's Anwar gets police bail: lawyers

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysian opposition figure Anwar Ibrahim has received police bail and will leave police headquarters soon, his lawyers said on Thursday.

"Anwar is granted police bail now," lawyer Sankara Nair told reporters in a mobile phone text message. "(He) Will leave in a while from police headquarters."

Saiful Izham, another Anwar lawyer, confirmed police bail had been granted and said Anwar would go home immediately.
