Kenya opposition demands negotiated settlement
NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya's opposition said on Saturday President Mwai Kibaki's offer to form a government of national unity had not changed its position that he step down and accept an internationally-mediated settlement.
"My position has not changed. We want a negotiated settlement. Our starting point is that Kibaki is there illegally. He should not come to the negotiating table as the president," opposition leader Raila Odinga told reporters.
