PARIS (Reuters) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Tuesday he did not doubt that Polish President Lech Kaczynski would keep his word on ratifying the European Union's reform treaty.

Kaczynski said in a newspaper interview published on Tuesday he would not sign the Lisbon Treaty for now after Irish voters rejected it in a June 12 referendum.

"He (Kaczynski) is a politically committed man. he is a man who has never broken his word, and who made a commitment in front of his 26 (European) partners. I do not doubt for one minute that this commitment will be kept," Sarkozy told reporters.
