Tsvangirai against sharing Zimbabwe ministry: SADC
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Zimbabwe's opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai did not agree with sharing the leadership of the country's home affairs ministry with the ruling ZANU-PF, regional grouping SADC said on Sunday.
SADC Executive Secretary Tomaz Salamao told reporters after a summit of the 15-member bloc that MDC leader Tsvangirai did not agree with a summit resolution that the disputed ministry, a main obstacle to a deal on forming a unity government, be co-managed.
"But SADC was asked to rule and SADC took a decision and that's the position of SADC. Now it's up to the parties to implement," he said. (Reporting by Rebecca Harrison)
