SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (Reuters) - Honduras' interim government on Sunday rejected a mediator's proposals for solving a political crisis in the country triggered by the June 28 military coup.

"I'm very sorry, but the proposals that you have presented are unacceptable to the constitutional government of Honduras ... in particular your proposal number one," said Carlos Lopez, head of the negotiating team for interim leader Roberto Micheletti.

Costa Rican President Oscar Arias, mediator in the talks, had proposed the reinstatement of deposed President Manuel Zelaya.
