MIAMI (Reuters) - U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said on Friday that Hurricane Ike's size and likely storm surge made it a worst-case scenario.

"I think this certainly falls in the category of pretty much a worst-case scenario," Chertoff told a news briefing, adding that the federal government had adequate emergency supplies in the region to deal with a disaster.
