Comba Telecom Systems Hldg Ltd announced that it has been appointed as the official supplier of turnkey wireless network systems at a further four stadiums hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, in which 8 out of 12 stadiums in Brazil hosting the tournament in 2014 will have wireless network systems installed by using the Group’s products and solutions. The Group recently gained contracts for services and solutions valued over BRL60 million (over USD25 million), pursuant to which the Group has agreed to install a series of distributed antenna systems (DAS) using fi ber optic RF remote units, antennas, filter and RF conditioning equipment to enable multi-operator, multi-band and multi-technology wireless networks covering both indoor and outdoor environments in and around the stadiums for users of mobile devices on iDEN, 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi standards. The 4 new stadiums include the Arena de Sao Paulo (host venue of the official opening ceremony of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil), Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Amazon Arena in Manaus and the Estadio Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre.  Full Article
