TonenGeneral Sekiyu KK to Acquire Shares in Joint Venture from Union Carbide Corporation

TonenGeneral Sekiyu KK announced that it has decided to acquire the remaining 50% stake in a joint venture held by Union Carbide Corporation, to make the joint venture a wholly owned subsidiary of TonenGeneral Sekiyu, by the end of the third quarter of current fiscal year. The joint venture is engaged in the manufacture and sale of high-pressure processed low-density polyethylene and linear low-density polyethylene in Tokyo, Japan. The transaction price is not disclosed yet.
