Abengoa to develop 250 km intelligent water management network in Turkey

Abengoa SA:Says it has been selected by municipal water authority of Denizli (Turkey) to develop intelligent network of supply and sewerage pipelines covering nearly 250 km.Infrastructure to supply water and sanitation to city population of about 500,000 people.Project worth 35 million euros.To be responsible for engineering, design and construction of project, under turnkey EPC format, for supply, sanitation and drainage network, as well as more than 30 wells and Scada control system.To renovate existing deposits, pumping stations, bore holes and low-voltage system, as well as to operate and maintain facilities for period of one year.Project is scheduled to be completed within 17 months.  Full Article

Abengoa wins new electricity transmission project in Brazil

Abengoa SA:Says it has been selected by Brazilian National Electricity Agency (Aneel) for new electricity transmission project in Brazil.Contract worth about 381 million euros.To be responsible for engineering, design, construction, maintenance and commissioning of two transmission lines, which will cover 377 km.Both lines are expected to come into operation in 2017.First concession relates to 240 km transmission line from Oriximina–Juruti and Juruti–Parintins in state of Para, and construction of four substations in Oriximina, Juruti, Parintins and Jurupari.Second concession includes 137 km Parauapebas–Integradora Sossego, Integradora Sossego–Xinguara II transmission line and three substations.  Full Article

Abengoa SA:Obtains favorable environmental rating from authorities of Chilean Environmental Service to develop solar-thermal plant using molten salts tower technology-Dow Jones.Plant with installed capacity of 110 MW.Project located in Atacama Desert.Cerro Dominador to be solar-thermal plant for direct electricity production in South America.Plant to have thermal storage system designed and developed by Abengoa.Construction of this plant to generate an average of 700 direct jobs.Around 50 stable jobs to be created once project comes into commercial operation.  Full Article
