Aegion Corp announced that its subsidiary, Insituform Technologies, LLC (Insituform), has been awarded a three-year term contract valued at approximately $5.6 million from the City of Dallas, Texas. Insituform will perform wastewater pipeline rehabilitation using its Insituform Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) throughout the City of Dallas from January 2013 until December 2015. As part of the agreement, Insituform will utilize several minority and woman owned businesses to perform vital functions supporting the installation of Insituform CIPP.  Full Article

Aegion Corp's Insituform Technologies, LLC Secures $5.0 Million Contract from Metropolitan District in Hartford, Connecticut

Aegion Corp announced that its subsidiary, Insituform Technologies, LLC (Insituform), has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $5.0 million from The Metropolitan District located in Hartford, Connecticut to install over 10 miles of Insituform CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) in small- and medium-diameter wastewater pipelines. The project is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2013 and to be completed within one year from the start date. Insituform CIPP will be installed in neighborhoods, through a park, in public golf courses, next to a public swimming pool and in other areas that are environmentally sensitive. It is expected that the installation method of Insituform CIPP will allow the community of Hartford to experience little to no disruption throughout this project.  Full Article

Aegion Corp's Energy & Mining Joint Venture Secures Multiple Contracts in Middle East Valued at Over $21 Million

Aegion Corp announced that United Special Technical Services, LLC (USTS), a joint venture between United Pipeline Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Aegion (United), and Special Technical Services LLC (STS) of Oman, was recently awarded multiple projects with a combined value of over $21 million (USD). These projects are located in Kuwait, Algeria, Bahrain and Oman. United owns a 51% interest and STS owns a 49% interest in the joint venture. In Kuwait, USTS will supply and install United's Tite Liner system in over 230 miles of 4-inch to 30-inch diameter water injection pipelines. Work on this project is expected to begin in early 2013 and to be completed within 18 months. The Algeria contract requires USTS to design and install a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) liner in nearly 10 miles of 8-inch diameter water disposal pipelines. This project will be the first time the Tite Liner system has been installed in Algeria. The project in Bahrain will require USTS to perform the fusion and installation of approximately 40 miles of HDPE ring main headers to be used for water distribution throughout an oilfield. The contracts in Oman involve the supply and installation of eight miles of HDPE liners in water injection and process pipelines ranging from 12-inches to 24-inches in diameter. The projects in Algeria, Bahrain and Oman are expected to be completed by June 2013.  Full Article

Aegion Corp's Companies, Inc. Secures $8.2 Million Engineering Contract From City Of Houston

Aegion Corp announced that its subsidiary, Corrpro Companies, Inc. (Corrpro), has been awarded a two-year contract valued at up to $8.2 million for professional engineering services for the City of Houston’s Corrosion Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. The City also has the option to renew the contract for three additional years following the initial term. Corrpro has been providing professional engineering services and corrosion prevention solutions to the City of Houston and its surrounding areas since 1992 and performed approximately $1.7 million of work for the City in 2011. Corrpro will provide corrosion prevention services for the City’s water and wastewater facilities, including buried steel, ductile iron and pre-stressed concrete water transmission pipelines. In addition, over 300 large-diameter, above-grade pipeline crossings, over 300 water production facilities and over 600 wastewater facilities and force mains will be evaluated.  Full Article
