Ajisen (China) Holdings Ltd announced that based on the Group’s unaudited management accounts for fiscal 2012, the consolidated profit attributable to the Shareholders for fiscal 2012 it expects to significantly decline as compared to fiscal 2011. The reasons for the expected decline in the consolidated profit attributable to the Shareholders for the fiscal 2012 are primarily as follows; Decrease in revenue and comparable restaurant sales growth as a result of the impact from the Diaoyu Island dispute during second half of 2012 ; General sluggish consumers’ sentiment in the year of 2012; Increase in the selling, administrative and other operating expenses incurred by the Group including expense recognition of the share-based payments arising from share options granted to certain employees of the Group around the third quarter of 2011. Ajisen (China) Holdings Ltd announced that a final dividend of HKD0.0228 per ordinary share (2010: HKD0.105) and a special dividend of HKD0.0980 per ordinary share (2010: HKD0.125 ) for the year ended December 31, 2011, have been proposed by the Board and is subject to the approval by the shareholders at the annual general meeting (AGM) to be held on May 17, 2012. Including the interim dividend of HKD0.0595 per ordinary share (2010: Nil) already paid, the total dividend for the year ended December 31, 2011, will amount to HKD0.1803 per ordinary share (2010: HKD0.23). In order to determine the Shareholders who are entitled to receive the final dividend and the special dividend for the year ended December 31, 2011 , the register of members of the Company will be closed from May 23, 2012, to May 28, 2012 (both days inclusive), during which period no share transfers will be registered. Ajisen (China) Holdings Ltd Was Fined CNY786,600 For Use Of Food Additive-DJ

Dow Jones reported that Ajisen (China) Holdings Ltd confirmed media reports that it was fined last year by China's regulator for using a food additive in its noodle products. The Company said in a statement it stopped the use of sorbitol immediately after Chinese authorities first brought an action against the Company in May 2009, without specifying what sort of action was taken then. It noted that China's authorities in January 2010 proclaimed sorbitol as a permissive additive in noodle products. Previously, there were no national standards governing the use of sorbitol in food products in China.  Full Article

Noodle restaurant chain Ajisen expects sharp drop in 2012 profit

HONG KONG, Feb 6 - Japanese style noodle restaurant chain operator Ajisen (China) Holdings Ltd warned on Wednesday it expected to post a significant drop in 2012 profit due to lower restaurant sales as Chinese consumers turned away after a political dispute between Japan and China over some East China Sea islands.
