Air Lease Corp Announces Closing of Additional Offering of $50 Million of 4.50% Senior Unsecured Notes Due 2016 for an Aggregate Notes Issuance of $500 Million

Air Lease Corp announced the closing of its previously announced offering of an additional $50 million aggregate principal amount of 4.50% senior unsecured notes due 2016 (the Additional Notes). The Additional Notes were sold at par plus accrued interest from September 26, 2012 in response to market demand following the Company`s completion of its offering of $450 million aggregate principal amount of 4.50% senior unsecured notes due 2016 on September 26, 2012. As a result, the Company has sold and issued $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.50% senior unsecured notes due 2016. The Additional Notes were sold in an offering exempt from registration under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the Securities Act), only to qualified institutional buyers and non-U.S. persons outside of the United States in reliance upon Rule 144A and Regulation S, respectively, under the Securities Act. The Additional Notes will mature on January 15, 2016 and will bear interest at a rate of 4.50% per annum, payable semi-annually in arrears on January 15 and July 15 of each year, commencing on January 15, 2013. Interest on the Additional Notes will accrue from September 26, 2012. The Company intends to use the proceeds of the offering to fund the acquisition of commercial aircraft and for other general corporate purposes.
