Megafon OAO Completes Merger with Wholly Owned Subsidiary Sinterra ZAO-Interfax

Interfax reported that Megafon OAO’s shareholders approved merger with 100%-owned subsidiary Sinterra ZAO. The Company acquired Sinterra ZAO in June 2011. Transaction amount was USD 745 million. In June 2011, the Company finished joining regional units of Sinterra ZAO and had planned to complete merger in June 2012. Megafon OAO designed shares repurchase from shareholders who do not agree with the reorganization.
