AMEC Plc Maintains FY 2013 Financial Guidance

AMEC Plc announced that the Company's fiscal year 2013 outlook is unchanged from that provided at the half-year results. Full fiscal year 2013 underlying revenue, excluding incremental procurement, is expected to be in line with 2012, with good visibility provided by the order book of GBP 4.0 billion. AMEC also continues to expect to achieve earnings per share (EPS) of greater than 100 pence in 2014. For the fiscal year 2012 the Company reported revenue of GBP 4,158.00 million. According to I/B/E/S Estimates analysts on average are expecting AMEC to report revenue of GBP 4,082.54 million in the fiscal year 2013.  Full Article

AMEC Plc Receives Hook-Up And Commissioning Contract For Gdf Suez E&p Uk's Cygnus Operated Field In Southern North Sea

AMEC Plc announced that it has been awarded the hook up and commissioning (HUC) support contract for GDF SUEZ E&P UK Ltd's Cygnus gas field development, the UK Southern North Sea's gas discovery in the last 25 years. AMEC Plc Acquires US-Based Nuclear Services Company

AMEC Plc announced that it has agreed to acquire Automated Engineering Services Corp. (AES), a 175-person professional design engineering nuclear services firm based in Naperville, Illinois, US, with annual revenues in excess of $30 million. AMEC Plc, AREVA SA And URS Corp Alliance Wins Contract Extension At Sellafield

AMEC Plc announced that The UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) has confirmed its intention to extend Nuclear Management Partners' (NMP) role as the Parent Body at Sellafield for a further five years. This is the first renewal of a contract which has the potential for further extension periods, subject to performance, up to a total life of 17 years. The value of the contract has not been announced. NMP, a consortium comprising three world-class nuclear specialists, AMEC Plc, AREVA SA and URS Corp.  Full Article

AMEC Plc And Morrison Wins GBP200 Million Five-Year Contract Extension By Wales And West Utilities

AMEC Plc and Morrison Utility Services announced that they have been awarded a five-year extension to the Western Gas Alliance (WGA) mains replacement contract by Wales & West Utilities (WWU). The contract extension, worth GBP40 million per year, will run until 2018 and follows Ofgem's Price Control Review which has set financial challenges for each of the eight Gas Distribution Networks. The programme of work will replace 420km of gas mains each year and complete 40,000 customer gas connections.  Full Article

AMEC Plc Wins Brownfield Modifications Contract For TAQA's Cladhan Field Development, North Sea

AMEC Plc announced that it has been appointed by TAQA's UK business, to undertake the engineering, procurement and construction of modifications to the Tern oil production platform to accommodate a new subsea tie-back to the Cladhan field in the northern North Sea. AMEC will also provide commissioning support. The contract award follows AMEC's completion of the front end engineering design (FEED) for the project. Work begins immediately and will run through to December 2014. It is part of a long-term engineering framework agreement with TAQA, which began in 2012.  Full Article

AMEC Plc announced that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Sempra U.S. Gas & Power to design and construct its Copper Mountain Solar 3 project near Las Vegas, Nevada. Dow Jones reported that AMEC Plc said it has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction, or EPC, contract by Dominion Resources Inc (D), a U.S. energy provider, to design and construct three solar projects in Marion County, Indiana. Under the contract, the value of which has not been disclosed, AMEC will provide EPC services including engineering, procurement of all materials including solar panels, construction, tie-in to the local electrical distribution system and commissioning. Work has begun and commercial production is expected to begin in late 2013.  Full Article

AMEC Plc Secures Contract From UK Environment Agency-DJ

Dow Jones reported that AMEC Plc said it has been appointed to the Environment Agency's National Contaminated Land Consultancy Framework to provide consultancy services for contaminated land investigation, risk assessment and remediation projects across England and Wales. Value of the work to AMEC hasn't been announced but the projects for which services will be provided may vary in size from small schemes costing thousands of pounds to large and complex schemes costing millions.
