Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras Announces Oil Discovery in Consortium with IBV Brasil and Anadarko Petroleum Corp.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras announced a discovery of oil of 15 API (American Petroleum Institute) in the post-salt Espirito Santo Basin, in the Concession Concessao BM-ES-24 (Block ES-M-661), located 58 kilometers away from the city of Vitoria in the Espirito Santo State, Brazil. The discovery occurred during the drilling of the informally named Grana Padano well, 64 kilometers from the Golfinho Field in water depth of 1,208 meters. The Company has 40% of working interest and acts in consortium with IBV Brasil holding 30% and Anadarko Petroleum Corp. with further 30%.
