Apollo Tyres Ltd To Set Up Co-Gen Plant At Oragadam-Business Standard

Business Standard reported that Apollo Tyres Ltd is planning to set up a 2 x 7.5 megawatt coal-based thermal power plant in its Oragadam facility near Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The Company Is waiting for the necessary environmental clearance from the Central Government. This CoGen power plant will be set up in an area of 2.47 acres within Apollo's existing tyre manufacturing facility. The main fuel to be used in this power plant would be coal.
