Atlas Copco AB to Acquire German Torque Wrench Maker

Atlas Copco AB announced that it has agreed to acquire the assets of Saltus-Werk Max Forst GmbH, a manufacturer of mechanical and electric torque solutions based in Germany. Founded in 1919, Saltus has approximately 65 employees and had revenues in 2012 of approximately EUR 8 million (SEK 70 million). The acquired business will be part of the MVI Tools and Assembly Systems division within Atlas Copco's Industrial Technique business area. The acquisition is expected to be closed before the end of May 2013.
