Axis AB Appoints Roland Vejdemo as New Chairman and Announces Details of FY 2012 Dividend
Axis AB announced that it has decided to appoint Roland Vejdemo as the new Chairman of the Company's Board. In addition, Annual General Meeting resolved to approve the Board’s proposal for a dividend for the fiscal year 2012 of SEK 5.00 per share, of which SEK 2.25 is an ordinary dividend and SEK 2.75 an extra dividend. Axis AB Launches AXIS M2014-E Camera
Axis AB announced that it is launching AXIS M2014-E Network Camera, which is a compact, bullet-style HDTV camera, designed with focus on full flexibility and easy placement. It is adapted for an easy-to-install video surveillance solution ideal for indoor and semi-outdoor environments where the camera may be exposed to rain or water. The camera's functional and compact form factor makes it suitable for installations such as in retail stores, boutiques, hotels or small offices that need easy-to-use and future-proof video surveillance. AXIS M2014-E provides HDTV 720p image at full frame rate. The camera delivers multiple, individually configurable video streams in H.264 compression, optimizing bandwidth and storage without compromising image. Motion JPEG is also supported for increased flexibility. The camera, with its built-in memory card slot for edge storage and support for AXIS Camera Companion, provides a convenient, small-scale video management solution. AXIS Camera Companion, a video surveillance solution for small systems from 1 to16 camera - makes AXIS M2014-E a smart, independent video recording device. AXIS M2014-E is supported by base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner Program and AXIS Camera Station. The camera includes support for Hosted Video and ONVIF for easy camera system integration. The camera is planned to be available for order in the second quarter through Axis distribution channels. Axis AB Launches AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P Panoramic Cameras
Axis AB announced that it is launching 360-degree fixed mini dome cameras with a five-megapixel sensor that enables detailed, 360-degree or 180-degree panoramic views of wide areas. The indoor AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P Network Cameras provide retail stores, hotels, schools and offices with cost-effective solutions to getting wide overviews that help users detect activities and track the flow of people. The cameras, which are the latest additions to the AXIS M30 Series, can be mounted on ceilings for 360-degree overviews or on walls for 180-degree panoramic views. Both AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P support several viewing modes, including 360-degree overview in five-megapixel resolution, as well as horizontal panoramic views and quad views that have been dewarped for easy viewing. The quad view mode is suitable, for instance, when the camera is positioned at an intersection of corridors. The cameras also provide view area modes that allow users to digitally pan, tilt and zoom in on areas of interest. Multiple streams in H.264 and Motion JPEG can be sent simultaneously. AXIS M3007-PV is a vandal and dust-resistant fixed dome camera. AXIS M3007-P, which has a different outer shell with no cover over its lens, is a discreet camera that can be mistaken for a smoke detector. Dow Jones reported that Axis AB has introduced AXIS Q60-C PTZ Dome Network Cameras with integrated active cooling for high-quality and reliable video surveillance in extremely hot conditions. AXIS Q60-C cameras can operate in 165 degrees Fahrenheit down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit, and their climate control system can handle rapid temperature changes to eliminate condensation. The IP66- and NEMA 4X-rated cameras are dust and waterproof and require no additional housing. The cameras can handle a range of environmental conditions specified under MIL-STD-810G, including temperature shock, solar radiation and sand. Full Article
