Says that Air Canada, the largest domestic and international airline in Canada, is the launch customer for Boeing's new landing gear exchange programs for 777-300ER (Extended Range) and 777-200LR (Longer Range) airframes:Under the agreement, Air Canada will receive fully overhauled and certified landing gear shipsets for its fleet of 17 777-300ERs and six 777-200LRs during scheduled maintenance cycles.Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.  Full Article

Air New Zealand:Announces plans to take delivery of two additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.Says the airline already has three of these revolutionary new aircraft in its fleet with a further seven on firm order.Says these two additional aircraft are expected to be delivered in late 2017 and the latter half of 2018 respectively and will take the total number of Dreamliners in the fleet to 12.  Full Article

SMBC Aviation Capital:Says that it has placed a firm order for 80 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in a deal worth around $8.5 bln at list prices.Says the deal is the single order of 737 MAXs by a lessor and the Boeing order of any kind from a Japanese-owned lessor.Says the aircraft will be powered by the CFM LEAP engine and will be delivered to SMBC Aviation Capital between 2018 and 2022.  Full Article
