Bombardier Inc announced that it has successfully closed its issuance of $2 billion aggregate principal amount of new Senior Notes. The issuance is comprised of $750 million aggregate principal amount of Bombardier's Senior Notes due 2016, which carry a coupon of 4.250% per annum and were sold at par (the 2016 Notes), and $1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of Bombardier's Senior Notes due 2023, which carry a coupon of 6.125% per annum and were sold at par (the 2023 Notes). The 2016 Notes have a maturity date of January 15, 2016, and the 2023 Notes have a maturity date of January 15, 2023. Bombardier intends to use the net proceeds of this offering for general corporate purposes.  Full Article

Bombardier Inc announced that it has successfully priced offering of USD2 billion aggregate principal amount of new Senior Notes. The issuance is comprised of USD750 million aggregate principal amount of Bombardier's Senior Notes due 2016, which carry a coupon of 4.250% per annum and will be sold at par, and USD1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of Bombardier's Senior Notes due 2023, which carry a coupon of 6.125% per annum and will be sold at par (the 2023 Notes). The 2016 Notes have a maturity date of January 15, 2016, and the 2023 Notes have a maturity date of January 15, 2023. The issuance is expected to close on or about January 14, 2013. Bombardier Inc To Supply 35 TALENT 2 Trains

Bombardier Inc announced that Bombardier Transportation will supply 35 BOMBARDIER TALENT 2 electric multiple units and a strategic spare part package to Abellio Rail NRW GmbH. The trains will operate on the Saale-Thuringia-South Harz network in Germany. The order is valued at approximately EUR172 million (USD226 million). Bombardier will supply 20 three-car and 15 five-car TALENT 2 trains. The vehicles are due to enter service in December 2015. The multiple units will be equipped with the reliable and energy efficient BOMBARDIER MITRAC 1000 propulsion and control system. One of the advantages of this system is that it allows the train to accelerate quickly to a constant speed.  Full Article

airBaltic Signs Firm Order For Up To Bombardier Inc's 20 CSeries Airliners

Bombardier Inc announced that airBaltic has signed a firm purchase agreement to acquire 10 all-new Bombardier CS300 airliners. The Riga, Latvia-based airline also has purchase rights on a further 10 CS300 aircraft. The purchase agreement represents the conversion to firm orders of a Letter of Intent (LOI), announced at the Farnborough Air Show on July 10, 2012. The LOI also included the purchase rights on the 10 additional CS300 aircraft. Based on the list price of the CS300 airliner, the firm-order contract is valued at approximately $764 million and could increase to $1.57 billion should the 10 purchase rights be converted to firm orders.  Full Article

Bombardier Inc Wins Order For Up To $3.29 Billion From Delta Air Lines Inc-Reuters

Reuters reported that Bombardier Inc said Delta Air Lines Inc placed firm orders for 40 NextGen jets, with the option to buy another 30, in a deal valued at up to $3.29 billion. The firm orders were valued at $1.85 billion, Bombardier said.  Full Article

Bombardier Inc's Bombardier Transportation Secures Contract

Bombardier Inc announced that Public Transport Victoria (PTV) has ordered 40 additional Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) cars of the VLocity design from Bombardier Transportation. The order is valued at approximately AUD206 million (EUR166 million, USD198 million). Bombardier will provide 19 additional intermediate cars to convert existing two-car train sets to three-cars sets and supply seven additional new three-car train sets. This will result in a total fleet of 58 three-car Bombardier VLocity trains.  Full Article

Vistajet Places Order For Bombardier Inc's Jets-Reuters

Reuters reported that Private aviation company VistaJet said it had placed an order for 142 Bombardier business jets, worth around $8 billion. VistaJet said it had placed a firm order for 56 of the Canadian planemaker's Global jets with 86 further options. It expects deliveries of the planes to start in 2014.  Full Article

COMAC and Bombardier Inc Announce Successful Completion of Phase I of Definitive Agreement and Official Launch of Phase II

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (COMAC) and Bombardier Inc. announced the completion of the Phase I of the agreement, and the launch of the second phase. As part of the first phase of COMAC and Bombardier's long-term collaboration, the two aircraft manufacturers have achieved mutually beneficial outcomes in terms of product development and customer operating cost efficiencies for the C919 and the CSeries families of commercial airliners with regard to: 1) the cockpit human-machine (crew) interfaces, 2) the electrical system, 3) the development of aluminum-lithium standards and specifications, and 4) technical publications. In addition, COMAC and Bombardier Inc. signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) signalling the beginning of Phase II of their strategic collaboration. As such, the second phase of their cooperation will explore further possibilities for C919 and CSeries aircraft commonalities, marketing and sales cooperation, expanded joint customer service capabilities, collaboration on product testing and certification, as well as opportunities for collaboration on future COMAC and Bombardier product lines. By signing this LOI, Bombardier and COMAC are deepening their commitment to create complementary opportunities for customers of the C919 and the CSeries commercial airliners to realize cost benefits from the operation of both aircraft families.  Full Article

Embraer sees American closing out U.S. regional jet cycle

SAO PAULO - Embraer SA , the world's third-largest commercial jet maker, expects just one more big regional jet order as a result of its current U.S. sales campaign, Chief Executive Officer Frederico Curado said in an interview, after the Brazilian planemaker clinched three of four major deals since December.
