Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV:Consortium of Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis), Van Oord, NMDC (Abu Dhabi) and Jan de Nul (Belgium) has acquired contract from Suez Canal Authorities in to expand Suez Canal.Total contract value amounts to $1.5 billion, with each partner entitled to an equal share of $375 million.Project will commence in 2014 and is expected to be completed in 2015.  Full Article

Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV:Announces that VSMC, its strategic cable-laying joint venture with VolkerWessels, has been awarded a contract by Sandbank Offshore Windfarm GmbH.Says the scope of work for VSMC includes cable supply, CPS, installation, post lay burial and termination and testing of 76 infield cables.Says the total contract value to VSMC is 90 million euros.Says the project execution is scheduled to start in Aug. 2015 and will be completed by mid 2016.  Full Article

Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV:Announces that the Dutch Department of Public Works and the province of Overijssel have announced that they intend to award the contract for the IJsseldelta polder to the company.Says the project is part of the national Room for the River program, which consists of more than 30 measures aimed at providing better flood protection for areas close to the country's rivers.The project will involve lowering the summer bed of the Lower IJssel river along a length of 7.5 kilometers near the town of Kampen and creating a bypass to the south of Kampen.The work will be executed in conjunction with Van Hattum and Blankevoort in the Isala Delta construction consortium.Initial preparations will take place in the fall of 2014 with the project scheduled for completion by the end of 2019.The contract represents a value of around 127 million euros of which the company's share is 50 percent.  Full Article

Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV:VSMC, company cable-laying joint venture with VolkerWessels, wins contract from Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited, owned by Norwegian companies Statoil and Statkraft, for export and inter-array cabling for Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm.Project total contract value 110 mln euros (Boskalis share 55 mln euros).VSMC is to perform two 1,100-meter horizontal directional drillings at landfall in 2015, followed by installation of two 42-kilometer export cables in 2016.Scope of work includes as well design, supply, installation, terminations and testing of 67 infield cables with total length of about 100 kilometers.  Full Article

Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV:Cabling specialist VSMC, Boskalis joint venture with VolkerWessels, wins contract from Van Oord Offshore Wind Projects bv to install and bury 25 kilometers long export cable for Eneco Luchterduinen Offshore Wind Farm.Eneco Luchterduinen Offshore Wind Farm, to be built by Eneco and Mitsubishi Corporation, is to be situated in North Sea, 23 kilometers off the coast between Noordwijk and Zandvoort (Netherlands).With 43 wind turbines in total, Luchterduinen is to provide up to 150,000 Dutch homes with green energy.Project to be executed in September using in-house developed burial tool, Trenchformer and newly built cable-laying vessel Ndurance.  Full Article
