Bergs Timber publ AB to Improve Efficiency and Profitability; Changes Include Staff Reduction

Bergs Timber publ AB announced that the Company has decided to improve its efficiency and profitability. In order to achieve this goal, the Company will concentrate sawing of normal size timber in its facility in Orrefors. As for Morlunda facility, the mill will focus on sawing of timber of small size, while the line for normal timber will be closed. Additionally, the Company intends to invest in a new, more efficient sawing line for the small logs. Apart from that, Bergs Timber has decided to rebuild the part of Bitus facility that was destroyed by fire in 2012 and plans a new major line there. The changes also include staff reduction, which is expected to affect 15 employees. Negotiations will begin immediately.
