Lake Connections Selects Calix Inc's Calix E7 And 836GE RSG For Regional Fiber Network
Calix Inc announced that Lake County (DBA Lake Connections) has selected the Calix E7-2 Ethernet Service Access Platform (ESAP) and 836GE Residential Services Gateway (RSG) for a Broadband Stimulus fiber access project across Lake County and eastern Saint Louis County in northeast Minnesota. Calix Inc To Acquire Fiber Access Assets From Ericsson; Signs Global Reseller Agreement
Calix Inc announced the signing of a definitive agreement under which Calix will acquire Ericsson's fiber access assets. The two companies also announced that they have signed a global reseller agreement, under which Calix will become Ericsson's preferred global partner for broadband access applications. The global reseller agreement between the two companies allows Ericsson to sell Calix Unified Access systems and software as its preferred fiber and VDSL2 access solution in 180 countries worldwide. Calix Inc announced that for the second quarter of 2012, it expects revenue to be approximately $79 million and non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) to be $0.04 per share. On May 1, 2012, the Company provided guidance for the second quarter ending June 30, 2012 for revenue to range between $93 to $97 million and non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) to be between $0.07 to $0.11 per share. Case Western Reserve University Selects Calix Inc's Calix E7 For Gig.U Project
Calix Inc announced that Case Western Reserve University (Case Western Reserve) has selected the Calix E7-2 Ethernet Service Access Platform (ESAP) to support one of the Gig.U University Community Next Generation Innovation Project deployments. One of 37 universities across the Country involved in the Gig.U initiative, Case Western Reserve will deploy fiber in and around its Cleveland, Ohio campus and utilize the Calix E7-2 and 716GE-I indoor optical network terminals (ONTs) to enable a network capable of delivering up to one gigabit per second (Gbps) to subscribers. This fiber access network, one of the advanced in the Nation, will also deploy Compass Flow Analyzer by Calix to closely monitor and analyze the traffic patterns and applications riding across this network.
